From custom design to series manufacturing for over 50 years
Founded in Montebelluna, Italy, IDM established itself as a specialized engineering firm dedicated to the design and manufacturing of custom electric and electronic components. Over more than five decades, the company has continuously advanced its mechatronic expertise, supporting industrial and high-tech customers through the evolution toward higher-efficiency power generation and drive technologies.
Today, IDM serves as a single, vertically integrated partner managing the entire product lifecycle, from initial technical requirements definition and custom electromagnetic/electronic co-design to rapid prototyping and series manufacturing. We design and manufacture permanent magnet alternators, power electronics, electric motors and controllers that meet the strictest space, environmental and performance requirements.
With 40,000 sqft of manufacturing and testing facilities, we combine custom development with mass manufacturing.

Over the years, we vertically integrated most testing, investing in pre compliance equipment such as EMC conductive and radiated emission chambers, Vibration machines, Thermal shock chamber (-70 +100 °C), Acoustic test benches.
